Rare

Its not often that an artist takes a song from another more acclaimed artist and turns it into something better. (Edit: better was the wrong word I admit) Remixes and covers happen all the time but never meet our approval.

But Mary J Blige really did take it to another level. Albeit with a little help from Bono and the Edge. Yes its been on the airwaves for a while now but lordy lordy...this one's a classic.

Dude, yes it is a decent / very good / brilliant cover. But to say that it is better than the original is sacrilege.

Chitgo: thanks for the tips. I've heard all (the corrs one esp. I agree..heard that one live) except for manson..
Mr. First: I'm not saying its better, just saying its a completely new feel and sound which is fantastic. I think songs as good as these cannot be better or worse. Both are fantastic, although the Edge comes out much more in the Blige version. Edge is phenomenal.
