And so it begins

Not many people were aware of it. Heck it slipped my mind as well for a while but far away, on the other side of the planet, 11 men will wear blue pajamas and t-shirts with "India" embalazoned on them and will take on a team comprising a (motley?) collection of players from a collection of islands called the West Indies.

This, to me is a significant occassion. 8 months from now, the Indian team will be gearing up for the biggest prize of all. What happens in the next 8 months will almost certainly decide if the big prize is within grasp or not when we make the trip back to the Caribbean. This is the start: India need spend the next few months seriously tinkering around till the right combination is found and then begin to peak a few weeks before the start of the Cup.

For now, 2 hours before the first ball is bowled. C'mon India Dikhado!
