I recently put up a clipping of a Dilbert cartoon strip on my softboard at work:

Dilbert is walking with Dogbert and is asking him if he should date a co-worker. Dogbert answers by saying that he should date anything that has a pulse, bad judgement and no restraining orders against Dilbert. To counter that Dilbert says that "she has to be hot" and Dogbert advices him that he should settle for "still warm"

Let us leave out the part about dating a co-worker because my company doesn't offer me too much scope in that direction. So let us take the example of any girl rather than a co-worker. I think Dogbert offers very sensible advice...a simple checklist, which if followed is a sure fire recipe for success. I think where we and many other of my close associates stumble is the little but....BUT she has to be hot. My dillema is where does one draw the line between hot & still warm...and then between still warm & cold (?)...or whatever you call it...these distinctions are often very blurry and indistinguishable....

What are the factors that make a woman fall into the hot category and the ones that push her down into the still warm category? Are we shallow and go purely by looks or do we act dumb and believe that personality, charm & conversations are all factors that attract guys...? ( he he )....anyways...this cartoon has set before me some very deep & perplexing questions....no answers yet....maybe people more experienced can shed light on this...although Scott might come up with the winner soon.
