Desi Food on the South Beach
"In general, Indian food is a fine choice for South Beach Dieters since the cuisine is based on the right carbs, such as chickpeas and lentils, and nutrient-rich vegetables like spinach and eggplant. However, some Indian dishes are cooked using bad fats, and in combination with starchy carbs like white potatoes and rice. Your best bet is to stick to items that are not deep-fried, cooked with cream, slathered in sauce, or accompanied by processed carbs. Good choices include dal (lentils), tandoori meats, raitas (tart yogurt side dish), and chana (chickpeas). Enjoy!"

this is the palm sized food helpings diet right.....you're nuts
In fact, one of the wonderful things about this diet is it doesn't advocate the size of helpings. Eat till you're full as long as you're eating the right foods

the fad diets have given all diets a bad name. THIS particular eating habit was originally designed to ensure people have healthy hearts & cholestrol/sugar levels. An offshoot was that it also made you look great from the outside. Although, as the creator of the diet keeps saying, this diet ensures you have healthy blood (LDL levels), healthy cholestrol, higher immunity & reduction of risk from heart disease & diabetes among other things.
Its never too early to begin eating healthy :-)
