To recap the weekend
- Yesterday was a great guitar session with Pablo where I struggled to understand chord patterns and chord mutes for "Lyin' Eyes" which also happens to be one of my favourite songs
- Saturday night saw the Blahs, Van & myself head to Biryani Merchant for dinner. A sumptuous feast of exotic Biryanis followed by a heavenly "Phirni" for dessert. Anyone who visits Bangalore: Biryani Merchant is a must visit!
- Great Spanish classes once again but the only sad bit of news is that the intermediate level does not begin until at least 6 weeks after we give our exams for the first level. This definitely cast a pall of gloom over my plans but nontheless, I will look to pick things up soon as the intermediate level is announced. Still determined to reach an intermediate level (as defined by AIESEC SN form norms) by Jan-Feb 2006
- Bought a music CD after a long, long time: Anoushka live at the Carnegie Hall, NY. About an hour of pure heaven
- Friday night was a boisterous time with DV, Pablo & Sam. Never a dull moment when these 3 are around! Stories about Josy Kotte, Chat, Sandy & Gundu abounded. My legendary math exploits in school (or lack of it) found their due place under the sun
Unforgettable dialogue with Gundu (our Math teacher in school) which I have to share with you went thus:
Gundu was our 1oth grade Math teacher and would always exhult us to greater Math glory and appraise us about the importance of the 10th grade exam. His favourite comment would be, " You will miss the bus!...you will miss the bus boys!"
So this is the legendary dialogue:
Gundu: You will miss the bus I say!
Cheeky boy: Sir..if I miss the bus...I'll take a cab instead!
*roar of laughter in the class while Gundu has a thin, dangerous smile on his face*
Gundu answers: Son...a few years ago, a boy told me the same thing. "Sir if i miss the bus, I'll take a cab.
*now Gundu's voice takes on a crescendo*
Gundu: TODAY! He is driving a cab!
total pandemonium in class and this exchange enters into legend and will forever remain as the mark of Gundu's rare show of wit!
Long Live Josephs
Teneis una semana bueno

*rofl*
The Gundu story was cute - but I guess the funniest Josephite-teacher-stories I've heard are the ones about Chatterjee and Charlie(?? the Vice-Princy?).
Of course there are even more bizarre stories about Josephite teachers and their *adventures* with students in the privacy of their office rooms .. but let's not tread into murky territory, eh?! ;)
Hahaha .. expecting a vicious, rabid anti-Cottonian riposte!
