The Weekend - what does it hold
- Starting off, I'll be watching one of my favourite local rock bands perform at a small gathering in a cafe. Zebediah Plush caught my fancy a few years ago. Keep going guys. As has now become custom company for the evening will be Ajay & Debs
- After the show, in all likelihood it will be Tavern or the new Pecos (yes people there is a second Pecos that has opened in Bangalore - needless to say it rocks)
- Saturday morning will be spent immersed in my verbs & conjugations..Ser, estar, pensar you get the idea
- Saturday afternoon will be a torrid 3 hours facing my first ever language exam. Only now do I fully appreciate just how difficult it is to learn a language which isn't your native and I have nothing but admiration for all the dozens of my non native English speaking friends. How you guys managed to learn a language as foolishly complex as English I will never know
- Saturday evening I might decide to get some serious practise on the strings..Nikhil still isn't back is he..damn it!
- Sunday...a visit to the temple, long overdue. Sunday afternoon would be class from 2 to 5...no wait! Sunday morning would be the gym...long overdue again...maybe even a swim if its not scorching
- Yes yes...no golf this week. Will resume the embarrassment from Monday
And since this post has lost any coherence whatsoever, I might as well finish the job and talk about a thought I had last night...I was bewitched through 30 pages of Midnight's Children and then put on my earphones...thoughts tumbled as Juanes crooned on...led zep came on and I sniggered mockingly at Indro's statement that stairway to heaven was too long a song...and some more "Mi Sangre" came back on...and that's when I realised...that I should be able to reach a basic level of lengua espana by January 2006 if all goes as planned. The long term objective of course is to reach an intermediate level some time in life and then live in America Latina to further sharpen that skill...but cannot see what the misty veils of the future hide so I'll let it be for the moment. This whole living in America Latina bit however shall be discussed further in my next entry...yep..reintegration problems yet again...you might say but I think I now finally fully understand.
John Lennnon said it best...I'll give it a shot maybe tonight or tomorrow.
tenga un fin de semana bueno

yeah!!!?!?!?! new pecos? what? where? why? when? and why the #¤*" didnt you tell me about it earlier?
ZP's new album is quite cool i've heard. Tell fuzzy and hari that i said hello and wish them success from me!
Dudes! the new pecos is called "mojos" (dont ask why) but essentially pecos management and waiters etc. Its right beside where Earthen oven used to be opposite the decrepit Opera theatre. Great place!
And Aneesh, Hari hasn't been with ZP for a long time now. Its just the 4 of them. Saw them last night...they're great. Its fuzzy and Anand on the vocals now.
boy you have your plate full
a newPeco's???
So if the management and waiters have trooped across to this new place called Mojos(?), then what's happened to the old Peco's.
Sigh.
Peco's.
Beer.
oooh new pecos! good, things to look forward to when i get home! you play the guitar with nikhil gurjer?
yes a new Pecos! Its called Mojos as I mentioned. The old Pecos is still very much around...now just that when one doesn't get place in Pecos, one heads to Mojos. But I like Mojos better. Better seating, less smoky, more open.
And Aditi...i dont "play" the guitar with him he he :-) I learn. He's incredible.

Oooh Nikhil Gurjer is one of those cute sweet boys that I adore. He's been like my kid brother all along...way nicer than Sam :)
Gosh! I remember weekends when he'd drive everyone in the house nuts with his guitar! Actually maybe even during our EB planning weekend, eh?
